DETAILED ITINERARY

Day One: Southern white rhinos Walking Safari and Top of the falls hike

You’ll be picked up from your guesthouse and transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to track rhinos on foot, guided by experienced armed rangers who will ensure your safety and provide fascinating insights into these magnificent creatures. After this thrilling experience, enjoy a hot lunch before heading to the park gate for clearance. From there, you’ll proceed through the enchanting Budongo Forest, leading to the top of Murchison Falls—your first breathtaking activity in the park.

After capturing the stunning views and photographic moments at the top of the falls, you’ll drive just 20 minutes to your lodge near Tangi Gate for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay, ready for the adventures that await tomorrow.

Day Two: Full day Murchison Falls

After breakfast (6:30) we head out for a drive-in search of cats which might still be busy with a kill or running away from the wet grass. Watch out for leopards, elephants, cape buffalo, giraffes, baboons, monkeys etc.

In the afternoon, we a take a shared boat cruise to the bottom of the falls in search of animals that come to drink and cool off on the banks of the Nile River such as elephants, waterbucks, giraffes, buffaloes, Nile crocodile, the monitor lizard, hippos and many birds.

Day Three: Scenic Road trip and evening Bigodi community Walk.

After breakfast, we will have short game drive as we head out of the park. we drive further to the southern parts of Uganda with a hot lunch en route to Kibale forest. After check in, we take a walk in the famous Bigodi wetlands, a community project managed by the community aimed at changing and improving the lives of the host communities. Watch out for olive baboons, red-tailed, black and white colobus monkey, bird species, cultural encounter with the local communities. Dinner and overnight.

Day Four: Am chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to kanyanchu to join others for briefing before you head to forest with rangers in search of chimps following their calls and tracks. Once chimps have been located, you will spend one hour with them as you learn more about them.

After your hot lunch at the lodge, we drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, check in and prepare for our evening game drive to close the day. The park is famous for the Kasenyi plains where we will do our evening game drive in search of wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, antelopes, birds, lions among others. The four of the big five can be sighted here excluding white rhinos. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day Five: Morning game drive and afternoon community boat tour

This park is blessed with over 90 species of mammals and 600 bird species which makes it ideal for the big game. To increase our chances of wildlife sightings, we start our game drives at 06:30am and hope to meet lions, leopards, elephants, cape buffaloes among others on this quest.

Afternoon, we take a boat cruise on Kazinga channel famous for high density of hippos and to discover more about the water species or meet those that come to relax or drink water in the afternoon.

Day Six: Morning game drive transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, we will have short game drive before we transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest a world heritage site and home for mountain gorillas. The road trip is both scenic and wild as you traverse through the rural villages of Kigezi region. Dinner and overnight at the edge of the forest. This route of this day will be reconfirmed with your safari guide depending on where permits have been booked.

Day Seven: Iconic Gorilla Tracking and transfer Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will have short drive to the UWA briefing center where you will be taken through the dos, don’ts while tracking gorillas. After you have been allocated a gorilla family in a group of 8 Pax, you will be led by ranger guides off the forest to search for the gorillas. When gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. Day Eight: Transfer tom Kigali for your international Flight

After a relaxed breakfast, depending on your flight time, your guide will transfer you to Kigali for your flight. You’ll have optional activities at Lake Bunyonyi and Kigali town. Sin e your departure time is 7:00pm (Rwanda time) we have spared the afternoon for tour to Genocide memorial and Kimironko market and later before your transferred to airport for you flight.
